Dr Hana Maka

MB BCh BAO LRCPI & LRCSI MRCSI MICGP

Hana was born in Ireland but spent her childhood in the Middle East in Bahrain before returning to study medicine in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, from where she graduated with honours.

After interning in Connolly hospital, Hana undertook basic surgical training and completed her surgical membership examinations of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS).

She subsequently undertook general practice training on the RCSI & HSE Dublin North East Vocational GP training scheme,  also working in emergency medicine, paediatric emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, medicine for the elderly, general medicine, palliative care, psychiatry and general practice. Hana is on the Specialist Register of the Irish Medical Council for General Practice.

Hana's special interests include women's health and the menopause, children's health, minor surgery, preventative medicine and mental health, as well as all aspects of general practice. Hana has a particular interest in the area of self-care and mindfulness.

Dr Knut A. Moe  

BA MB BCh BAO LRCPI & LRCSI MICGP MBA

Born and raised in Dublin (to Irish and Norwegian parents, hence the name!), Knut is a vocationally trained GP and is on the Specialist Register of the Irish Medical Council for General Practice. Prior to studying medicine, Knut studied Business and Political Science in Trinity College Dublin and worked in finance in London. He then studied medicine in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, graduating with honours and winning the JJ Fitzsimons Gold Medal in Operative Surgery.

After interning in Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, Knut completed general practice training on the RCSI & HSE Dublin North East Vocational GP training scheme, undertaking posts in Dublin hospitals in  emergency medicine, paediatric emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, medicine for the elderly, general medicine, palliative care, psychiatry and general practice medicine.

He holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and is an Associate Clinical Professor in UCD’s School of Medicine.

Knut’s interests include men's health, occupational health and all aspects of general practice, especially general practice management and development. He is an approved Seafarer’s Doctor of the Norwegian Maritime Authority and conducts seafarer examinations for multiple cruise ship operators.

He is a member of the IMO GP Committee for 2021-2022 and is the Programme Director of the ICGP’s Network of Establishing GPs.

Our practice nurses are available by appointment every morning except Tuesday and on Thursday afternoons.

Services include:

  • vaccination services (childhood, travel and seasonal flu vaccines)

  • antenatal care

  • cervical smears

  • blood testing

  • dressings and wound care

  • 24 hour blood pressure monitoring

  • ear syringing.

Medical Students

Knut is an Associate Clinical Professor in UCD’s School of Medicine and is passionate about medical education. We occasionally have undergraduate medical students on placement with us.
